Ceramic Multi-Leaves-Damper for optimized volume adjustment


Based on more than 10 years experience in this special technology and in cooperation with a great plant engineering company we developed a new type of ceramic hotgas-damper, the ceramic multi-leaves-damper. The target was an optimized adjustment of big hotgas volumes at very high temperatures.

The development of the multi-leaf damper according this specification followed analog our approved construction.

The leaves are manufactured in laminated ceramic (OCMC*) and the axles are made in SiSiC ceramic.

All components exposed to hotgas (leaves and axles) are manufactured in ceramic of high thermal strength.

The insulation is built up with high compressed fiber-modules and vacuum boards that are mechanical fixed to the housing.

Enabled by our modular construction also significant bigger cross sections can be supplied.

Differently from a „Butterfly“ damper with one leaf the volume adjustment can be made more exactly with a multi-leaves-damper, because the airflow is divided in smaller partflows which minimizes turbulences.
